Market Relevant Lab

Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This policy is for everyone who signs in to Market Relevant Lab to do our guided tasks. It explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It takes about five minutes to read.

Who we are

Market Relevant Lab helps people work better with AI, through guided tasks. We collect information to support your learning, to give you feedback, and to improve our guided tasks.

Do you have to use it?

No. Using our guided tasks is your choice. If you heard about us from your course, using them is still not a course requirement. To sign in, you need to give an email address. Before your first task, we also ask a few short questions about you. You need to answer them to continue.

What we collect, and why

Your email address. You sign in with a link we email you, so there is no password. We use your email to sign you in, to keep your work linked to you, and to answer you if you write to us. We may also email you about your own use: a reminder if you have not finished setting up your assistant, and a request for feedback once you have. We do not send you marketing email.

A few questions about you. Before your first task we ask a few short questions, such as your first name and how often you use AI tools. The questions differ between courses and projects, because what matters depends on where you study or work. We use your name when we write to you, and the rest to understand who our guided tasks help, in totals that do not identify you.

What you type on our pages. Your answers are saved automatically as you type, so you do not lose work.

Your progress. Which tasks you started, where you are in each one, and when you finished, so you can carry on from any device.

Dictation. If you use the microphone button, your browser's own speech service turns your voice into text. We receive only the text.

How the site is used. We use two analytics services. One records clicks, page views, your rough location, and your browser and device. The other records how you move through our pages, such as scrolling, clicks and mouse movement, so we can replay a visit and see where a page is hard to use. The replay hides your name, your email and what you write on our pages. We do not give either service your name or email. Both store small files (cookies) in your browser to tell one visit from another.

Files you upload. If a step asks for a file, we store it with your account.

When we use AI to help you. To help you when you get stuck, we may send your work and where you are in a task to an AI service. We send it only when it is needed to help you, and we remove your name and email first. If you talk to an AI coach on our pages, we save the conversation so it can continue.

Messages you send us. If you write to us through our help page, we keep your message so we can reply.

Who can see your work

Other learners cannot see your work. The Market Relevant Lab team can see your answers and where you are in a task. We use them to help learners who are stuck, to fix problems you report, and to improve our guided tasks.

If you came to us through a course, your professor does not see your answers or your progress. They may see a general overview of how the guided tasks are used, in totals that do not identify anyone.

Learning from the pilot

This is a pilot: we are finding out whether our guided tasks help students and professionals. We use usage and progress, in anonymous totals, and any feedback you choose to give, to improve them. We may share anonymous totals with your course, or publish them, but never in a form that can identify you. We will not quote you by name without asking you first.

What we do not collect

  • Anything you type into or upload to your own AI tool, such as your Claude project, and anything on your own computer. That is between you and that company, under its own privacy policy.
  • Your Capsim login, your grades, or anything from inside the Capsim simulation, unless you choose to type it on our pages.
  • Payment details. Nothing on Market Relevant Lab can be bought today.

What you should not type here

Please do not type other people's personal details on our pages, or anything your course says you may not share.

Companies that run parts of the site for us

Each one handles only what it needs:

  • A database service stores your account and your work. Its servers are in the United States.
  • A hosting service runs the website.
  • An email service sends the sign-in emails and any emails we send you, and delivers the messages you send us through our help page.
  • AI services help you when you are stuck, without your name or email.
  • Two analytics services record how the site is used, one of them as replays of visits, without your name or email.

Some of these companies store information outside Israel, mainly in the United States.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your work until one year after the end of the pilot semester for the Capsim tasks, so you can come back to your work until your course ends, and one year after your last visit for the customer-success projects. After that, we delete your account and your answers, and keep only anonymous totals. Copies kept in our backups disappear when those backups expire. The analytics services keep their own usage data under their own rules, without your name or email. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

How we protect it

Other learners cannot open your answers. Full access to our data stays on our own systems, never on the page you see. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you, and we will tell the privacy authorities where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you the information we hold about you;
  • Correct it if it is wrong;
  • Delete your account and your work.

Write to us through our help page, using the email you sign in with, and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the privacy authority where you live.

Age

Our guided tasks are for people aged 18 and over.
